Your Bhutan. Privately planned.
A small village festival in Eastern Bhutan, near the famous textile producing village of Khoma.
Bhutan is not a destination you experience from the outside. It draws you in — into its monasteries, its festivals, its mountain silences, its people. The only question is how deep you want to go.
At ETHOS Bhutan, we don’t offer fixed departures or packaged tours. We design private journeys, built entirely around you — your pace, your interests, your sense of adventure. Every itinerary is created from scratch, drawing on Brent’s 40 years of on-the-ground experience and a network of local relationships that simply can’t be replicated.
What a Private Journey Looks Like
Trekking & Hiking — From the iconic Snowman Trek to intimate valley walks few outsiders ever find, Bhutan’s trails reveal a country that has deliberately chosen to remain wild.
Cultural & Monastery Visits — Through Brent’s long-standing relationships with monks, lamas, and local communities, ETHOS guests experience access and intimacy that goes far beyond the standard visitor experience.
Festivals & Events — Bhutan’s tsechus are among the most extraordinary celebrations on earth. We plan around the festivals that matter most to you.
Wellness & Meditation — For travelers seeking restoration alongside discovery, we weave in opportunities for reflection, meditation, and deep rest.
How It Works
Planning a private journey to Bhutan begins with a conversation. In this initial discussion, we will cover the time of year you wish to travel, the level of accommodations you wish to book and the length of time you wish to spend in Bhutan. Once we understand your interests, travel timeframe, and budget, Brent will offer you several options tailored specifically to you.
Reach out by email at brent@ethosbhutan.com or use the contact form below — and Brent will be in touch personally. Private trips typically range from $8,000–$15,000 per person, depending on length of stay and level of accommodations.
Occasionally, Brent leads a small group journey himself — an intimate expedition for travelers who want to experience Bhutan alongside the person who knows it best. These departures are limited, fill quickly, and are unlike anything else on offer. If you’d like to be the first to hear about upcoming departures, sign up below to stay in the loop.
